Our celebrity hair expert Mark Woolley, Founder of Electric Hairdressing London, is here to help you get the look at home. Mark told us: "Jessica Biel and Kate Beckinsale epitomise 'glamour-cool' with their matching rock 'n' roll waves.

"The looseness and separation gives the hair a casual edge but you can't play down that incredible, luxurious shine or the trend-setting brunette ombre colouring which we'll definitely be seeing a lot more of this year."

Follow Mark's steps to success:

STEP ONE The hair should feel thick and luscious but soft at the same time - we don't want hair that feels 'crunchy', so whilst it is still damp, coat the lengths with some Shu Uemura Ample Angora Volumising Foam (£16.50). This helps gives the hair lots of body so focus on the roots for that extra bit of lift and be liberal through the rest of the hair for a fuller, volumised finish.

STEP TWO Blow dry the hair until 90% dry using a Denman Paddle Brush (£11) to guide it straight. Smoothing the hair out this way reduces flyaways and encourages a natural shine. Leaving the hair 90% dry allows you to start creating some shape before the hair dries and is set.

STEP THREE Create a deep centre parting and using large heated rollers, wind sections of hair about an inch wide around the barrel starting from the ends and rolling up to and securing at the roots. If you have time, allow the hair to dry naturally using the heat from the rollers but if not, use a hair dryer to speed up the process.

STEP FOUR Unravel the hair and let it cascade in front of the shoulders - the deep centre parting should allow this to happen naturally. Now, to make the hair look a little more rebellious and 'worn-in', rub some Electric Serum (£17) between your hands and run your fingers though the mid-lengths and ends. The serum tops up the shine and helps to break up the waves as you create separation and fullness by ruffling the hair.
