It happens far too often for our liking, which is why any flattering-for-all trends get the GLAMOUR stamp of approval in a big way. We want to see trends that we can actually imagine ourselves wearing, is that too much to ask?

Ruching is one of those wonderful trends that has reared its head on catwalks recently. In the past, we’ve seen ruched detailing around the neck and wrists, but the SS20 runways predict that it’ll be all over our torso in particular come summer.

It was seen all over the runway at Roksanda and Rejina Pyo, either running down the centre of the dress or to accentuate the waistline. We also spotted sheer mesh dresses at Supriya Lele with asymmetrical ruching used to elongate the body. Obsessed.
